This lovable dog and his gang of human friends have been solving mysteries, unmasking bad guys, fleeing from monsters and chowin' down on Scooby Snacks for years. Now they're appearing on the Cartoon Network in the What's New, Scooby-Doo? show. We have the 411 on everybody from Scooby-Doo to Scrappy-Doo, so check it out!

Scooby-Doo - Main Characters

  • Scooby-Doo - The famous pooch is a great big great dane. He's the team mascot for the Mystery Inc. gang but he's a bit of a chicken when there aren't any Scooby Snacks around.
  • Shaggy - He's Scooby's best friend, a bit of a hippy and he's very fond of the word "like." He's been hangin' with the Scoobster for 36 years now, has been in every Scooby-Doo show ever made and he's a vegetarian.
  • Daphne Blake - Red-haired Daphne is the fashionable member of Mystery Inc. She's also rich and her dad pays for the gang's van - the infamous Mystery Machine!
  • Velma Dinkley - Velma's the brains of the gang and the one who keeps Scooby-Doo's courage up with her Scooby Snacks!
  • Fred - The leader of Mystery Inc., Fred's investigating instinct gets the gang into trouble all the time. He gets it from his uncle, who works with the National Exaggerator newspaper!

Scooby-Doo - Fun Facts

  • Scooby-Doo's name isn't Scooby, it's Scoobert! His full name is Scoobert "Scooby" Doo.
  • Scooby-Doo has been on TV for 36 years - which is 252 in dog years! That makes him the oldest member of Mystery Inc!
  • Scooby-Doo is the only great dane with spots!
  • Shaggy is the only member of the Scooby Gang who has been in every Scooby-Doo show ever made.
  • Shaggy the rapper took his name from Scooby's friend Shaggy.
  • In the new Cartoon Network "What's New Scooby-Doo" the same voice actor does the voices for Fred and Scooby.
  • Scooby Snacks are caramel-flavored snacks that Scooby-Doo goes crazy for! In the real-world, you can get Scooby Snacks for your dog or yourself at your fave pet or grocery store.

I am tied for nick and disney. I like nick for the fact that it had some good shows like Fairly Oddparents. disney had good shows that brings back good memories but it now has stupid shows with screaming children and overall loud voices, in a bad way.

It depends. I prefer the older shows on Disney and Nick. Most shows that are on Disney and Nick today are stupid in my opinion, If I would watch anything it would be Spongebob and the older shows on Nick and Disney. I can't decide.
