You've no doubt been jamming to Rihanna's mega hit, Pon De Replay this summer - it seems like you can't escape it on the radio. Rihanna drops by Kidzworld to chat with Sindy and give her the lowdown on everything Rihanna. Find out what this Barbadian hottie has in store for her fans with her much anticipated album, which drops later this summer.
Sindy: Dancehall is really popular in the Caribbean but most Americans just think of male artists like Sean Paul, Shaggy and Kevin Lyttle.
Rihanna: It's a shame.
Sindy: How do you plan to take yourself to the next level and hopefully become the first female Dancehall superstar?
Rihanna: I really switched it up on the album. I didn't go reggae all out. I put a little hip-hop and R&B to make it appeal to more people.
Sindy: Where do you like to shop and who are your favorite designers?
Rihanna: I don't have a favorite designer, but I love what Roberto Cavalli does though.
Sindy: So when you hit the clubs with your girls, what song makes you want to hit the dance floor and mix it up?
Rihanna: Let me see. Really, when we get to the club we just go straight to the dance floor and dance all night long.
Sindy: Who directed your music video for Pon De Replay?
Rihanna: Little X.
Sindy: What was your fave and least fave part of the video shoot?
Rihanna: My favorite part was the dancing and my least favorite part was at [kwlink]lunch time[/kwlink] cuz I wasn't dancing.
Sindy: Since you mention that dancing was your fave part of the video shoot, are there any music videos you used to watch and rewind to copy all the dance moves?
Rihanna: A very recent one. Lose My Breath by Destiny's Child and I used to watch a lot from Aaliyah.
Sindy: Do you have any celeb crushes?
Rihanna: No. Not really.
Sindy: Who's the coolest celebrity you've met and who would you love to meet?
Rihanna: Beyonce, Jay-Z and 50 Cent. I would love to meet Kanye West.
Sindy: Have you been asked for your autograph yet and how did you feel?
Rihanna: It felt so good and weird. They were even apologizing and said sorry to bother you but can I please have your autograph and I'm like don't apologize, I want to give you my autograph.
Sindy: Since you're 17 and kids can relate to you, what kind of advice do you have for kids who look upon you as a role model? Do you feel any pressure to act a certain way?
Rihanna: Just enjoy life cuz life is too short. Have fun, be careful and [kwlink]smart[/kwlink].
Sindy: Are you single?
Rihanna: Yes, I am.
Sindy: What do you look for in a guy?
Rihanna: Confidence and a good personality.
Sindy: Do you plan to go on tour in the summer or in the fall?
Rihanna: Both. Summer and fall.
Sindy: Are you touring with anyone?
Rihanna: Right now I'm touring by myself, but later on I will be touring with other people, but not exactly sure with whom yet.
Sindy: Totally off topic. But for Halloween, what is your favorite costume you've had?
Rihanna: In Barbados we don't really celebrate Halloween, but I went to a Halloween party last year and I was a genie. It was so cute.
Sindy: One last question. Do you have any guilty pleasures that you don't want to admit to anyone?
Rihanna: Not one that I don't want to admit, but I have a weakness for chocolate. My fave is definitely Snickers.
