This Disney DVD includes both Halloweentown and the sequel, Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge. The movies focus on
Marnie Cromwell, a young girl who finds out she
is a witch on her 13th birthday. Her grandmother, Aggie Cromwell, (played by Debbie Reynolds) quickly takes Marnie and her siblings on a
trip to Halloweentown to introduce them to their
magical heritage. Marnie's mom, Gwen, does not want her kids to be
exposed to magic - but when evil forces in Halloweentown need to be stopped, Gwen realizes that her kids, especially Marnie, will
need to help in the battle.
Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge aired on the Disney Channel three years after the original. Just when Marnie and Aggie think they've stopped the evil in Halloweentown, a new threat surfaces. Someone has stolen Aggie's magic books and if her spells are destroyed, the Cromwell's will lose their powers forever! Just like the original, Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge is packed full of magical goodness. These flicks are perfect to watch this Halloween!
