Aly & AJ and Vanessa Hudgens CD Reviews

Nov 05, 2019

The Disney kids are at it again! Aly & AJ are getting into the Christmas spirit a little early and Vanessa Hudgens has dropped her first album. But are either of these albums fit for your wish-list?

Aly & AJ - Acoustic Hearts of Winter Album Review

Sister-act Aly & AJ have released their first Christmas album, Acoustic Hearts of Winter. The album mostly features mellow, traditional versions of Christmas classics like Let it Snow, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and We Three Kings. The songs are well executed but don't really spice up the standard Christmas repertoire. Chances are pretty good that you already have Christmas albums that sound just like this.

Vanessa Hudgens - V Album Review

In her debut album, Vanessa Hudgens offers up a variety of pop genres (and you thought the V stood for Vanessa!) with mixed results. Most of the album is sweetly charming but it occasionally crosses the line into downright saccharine (Whatever Will Be, for example). Vanessa's vocal talents are undeniable, however, and the album's feel-good appeal is hard to resist.
