Sony's smokin' hot new game console, the Playstation 3, landed with huge line-ups and rabid fans on November 17,2006. Now that the uber-powerful game system is here and blowing gamers away with its awesome graphics and super high-tech doo-dads, what's the 411 on the video games? Gary's couch got a double-dose of gamer butt as he plunked himself down on it to put the PS3 through the paces. Here's his list of the Top 5 Playstation 3 Games. Get your Christmas list ready!
5.) Playstation 3 - Tony Hawk's Project 8
The Hawk is back and he looks awesome! The new Project 8 skateboarding video game brings grinding, ollies, tricks, air and even a few bails to the PS3. It also lets you grind your way from one end of the city to the other with no loading! The bummer is that with all the super-sweet graphics, the Create-A-Park mode vanished, and you don't get many options for creating your very own skater. The Nail the Trick mode where you zoom in for a close-up look at pulling tricks, is a blast though!
Tony Hawk's Project 8 Thumbs Up:
- Nail a Trick mode rocks!
- Grind all over the place.
- Awesome graphics.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 Thumbs Down:
- No more Create-a-Park = sadness.
- Lacking online goodness.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 Rating:
4.) Playstation 3 - NBA 2K7
NBA 2K7 gives you more ways to play with basketballs and basketball all-stars than you can shake your Playstation 3 at. With game modes from A to Z and graphics so good you'll think you're watching TV, it's a sweet game. Unfortunately, the controls are a bit clunky and the wicked graphics slow down if things get super busy - otherwise NBA 2K7 would be the #1 PS3 game!
NBA 2K7 Thumbs Up:
- Tons of game modes.
- Wicked graphics.
- Awesome animations.
NBA 2K7 Thumbs Down:
- Sketchy controls...
- The graphics slow down when it gets too busy.
