2007 NBA All-Star Preview

The NBA’s brightest stars will be in the city with the [kwlink]brightest lights[/kwlink]. The 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend will be in Las Vegas, and you can bet these three days will be off the chains! We gave you our preview and our [kwlink]predictions[/kwlink] for what to expect in Vegas!

All-Star Weekend Preview – Rookies vs. Sophomores Game

The Rookies vs. Sophomores Game has long been a showcase for the NBA’s future stars. This year’s group of first and second year players features many promising young talents. Some of the top players on the Rookie Team are Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Bobcats' Adam Morrison. The Sophomores will be led by last year’s Rookie of the Year, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets.
  • Kidzworld Prediction: In this game, experience will prevail and the sophomores will win. Chris Paul (aka CP3) and Utah’s Deron Williams will be too much for the young rooks to handle.
  • All-Star Weekend Preview – Dunk Contest

In last year’s contest, Nate Robinson proved that height means nothing when it comes to dunking. He jumped over former Slam Dunk Champ, Spud Webb, last year. This year, who knows what he’ll do?! Nate better bring his A game though, because he has fellow high-flyers like Dwight Howard and the Celtic’s Gerald Green as his competition.
  • Kidzworld Prediction: Gerald Green is an unknown now, but he will be a household name once this contest is over with. One of his teammates said Gerald has a dunk that will be one of the top five dunks of all time! The jury is still out on that!
  • All-Star Weekend Preview – 3-Point Shootout

So, a 5’9” Robinson wins the dunk contest, and 7’1” Dirk Nowitzki wins the 3-point shootout? What is the world coming to? Nowitzki appears to be the fan favorite to win his second straight title this year, but he has a couple of long-distance shooters that will make sure th win won’t be easy. Gilbert Arenas and his Dirk's teammate Jason Terry are bound to give Dirk a run for him money. Also watch out for Damon Jones of the Cavaliers – he won’t win it, but he is a comedian in training, so watch out for his antics.
  • Kidzworld Prediction: Gilbert Arenas will beat Dirk Nowitzki by one point!
  • All-Star Weekend Preview – All-Star Game

Amongst all the parties and hoopla surrounding the weekend, you almost forget there's an actual game! The usual stars like Tracy McGrady, Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James will be playing. A lot of first time All-Stars like Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and Caron Butler will also show why they were selected.
  • Kidzworld Prediction: West will win it! Too much size and let’s face it – the West is a better Conference!

It's definitely an American thing - here in Australia we have like no Cheerleaders or Cheerleading groups. I think it's a sport but I'm not really into it. I think any girls or boys can do it. :3

Sure, many girls can fight, in fact some can fight really well, however it is a fact that women are generally physically weaker than men, which means that if a healthy male and a healthy female were to fight then the outcome wouldn't be 50/50 but rather 25/75 if even that much, this assumes that both the male and female have the same experience, training and of course both are healthy. This doesn't mean that women are inferior to men, but I am just pointing out facts, the notion that men and women are exactly the same and should be carrying out the same tasks is ridiculous.
