The NBA’s brightest stars will be in the city with the brightest lights. The 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend will be in Las Vegas, and you can bet these three days will be off the chains! We gave you our preview and our predictions for what to expect in Vegas!
All-Star Weekend Preview – Rookies vs. Sophomores Game
The
Rookies vs. Sophomores Game has long been a
showcase for the NBA’s future stars. This year’s group of first and second year players features many promising young
talents. Some of the top players on the Rookie Team are
Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Bobcats'
Adam Morrison. The Sophomores will be led by last year’s Rookie of the Year, Chris Paul of the
New Orleans Hornets.
Kidzworld Prediction: In this game, experience will prevail and the sophomores will win. Chris Paul (aka CP3) and Utah’s Deron Williams will be too much for the young rooks to handle.

All-Star Weekend Preview – Dunk Contest
In last year’s contest,
Nate Robinson proved that height means nothing when it comes to dunking. He jumped over former
Slam Dunk Champ, Spud Webb, last year. This year, who knows what he’ll do?! Nate better bring his
A game though, because he has fellow high-flyers like
Dwight Howard and the Celtic’s Gerald Green as his competition.
Kidzworld Prediction: Gerald Green is an unknown now, but he will be a household name once this contest is over with. One of his teammates said Gerald has a dunk that will be one of the top five dunks of all time! The jury is still out on that!
All-Star Weekend Preview – 3-Point Shootout
So, a 5’9” Robinson wins the dunk contest, and 7’1”
Dirk Nowitzki wins the
3-point shootout? What is the world coming to? Nowitzki appears to be the
fan favorite to win his second straight title this year, but he has a couple of
long-distance shooters that will make sure th win
won’t be easy. Gilbert Arenas and his Dirk's teammate Jason Terry are bound to give Dirk a run for him money. Also watch out for
Damon Jones of the Cavaliers – he won’t win it, but he is a comedian in training, so watch out for his antics.

All-Star Weekend Preview – All-Star Game
Amongst all the
parties and hoopla surrounding the weekend, you almost forget there's an actual game! The usual stars like
Tracy McGrady, Shaquille O’Neal,
Dwayne Wade and Lebron James will be playing. A lot of
first time All-Stars like Dwight Howard,
Carmelo Anthony and Caron Butler will also show why they were selected.
Kidzworld Prediction: West will win it! Too much size and let’s face it – the West is a better Conference!
