Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High

Fall Out Boy's pop-punk sound heads much more towards the "pop" end of the spectrum on their latest album Infinity on High. While many of the lyrics can be a bit too earnest and full of celebrity-induced self-importance, the band's sweet-meets-reckless sound is hard to pass over. Infinity on High is a must-have album for anyone who likes their pop-punk served with a healthy portion of hip-hop.

The album's title comes from a letter written by Vincent van Gogh to his brother that says, "Be clearly aware of the stars and infinity on high. Then life seems almost enchanted after all."

The song Thriller features rapper-turned-music mogul Jay-Z.

Tyrone Wells' laid-back soul-folk sound and sweet-as-molasses voice combine for some pretty easy-listening tunes. Sure, his lyrics can sometimes drift from "soulful" into "sappy" at times, but everyone enjoys a little cheese on their burger sometimes, right? If you can't get enough of bands like Maroon 5 and Counting Crows, Hold On is sure to please.

Hold On was originally released as an independent album in 2006, but was re-released by Universal Records after Tyrone signed to that label.

Marc Ford was one of the producers on Hold On. Marc has previously worked with acts like Ben Harper and was the lead guitarist for The Black Crowes.

Tyrone's songs have been featured on shows like One Tree Hill, North Shore and Ghost Whisperer and in the movie Everyone's Hero
