More action, more crazy, more balls. Is the new Mario Strikers Charged soccer game any fun? We review it here!

Mario and crew are back in a sequel to the award-winning Super Mario Strikers with Mario Strikers Charged! It's another crazy soccer game from the Mushroom Kingdom that's packed full of intense action, crazy power-ups, giant fire-breathing turtles (Go Bowser!!!) and even online multiplayer. Plus, it's for the Nintendo Wii! How solid is the soccer action? Find out with our Mario Strikers Charged game review!

Supercharged Soccer!

It's soccer and kicking the ball into the net is still how to win, but everything else has gone nuts! You can collect power-up items to throw shells, bombs, bananas and more around the field. Plus, each team captain, and team, has special abilities you can activate to help you score. If you have the ball you can charge up your shots on goal, even getting a Mega Strike that launches multiple balls if you charge up enough! When it's time to get your game on, a tutorial will get you started. Then you can play a single-player mode, take part in challenges to test your skills, customize multiplayer games for up to four players and even play online matches against friends or ranked players!

Cool, Crazy and Awesome!

It's soccer with a side order of lightning. Every second of gameplay is an explosion of action, excitement, power-ups, super moves and totally insane fun. It gets even better with a few friends, and you can play online so there's always someone to kick the ball around with! It's also a perfect mix of soccer skill and madness - close enough for soccer fans to dig it, but crazy enough for anyone to enjoy.

Supercharged Sucking?

The biggest problem is that after a few levels, the computer will kick your butt so hard you'll feel the cleats. It would also have been nice to see more shakin-the-Wiimote action, but it's not that big a deal.

Got Fun?

Yes! It's fast, furious fun that's loaded with action. Even with a few flaws it's an excellent game and the online multiplayer means you'll always have someone to play with. Check back to see if it'll make Kidzworld's top games of the year list like the original Super Mario Strikers!

Thumbs Up:

  • Constant crazy action.
  • Intense Mega Strikes!
  • Your teammates have powers!
  • Online multiplayer, so there's always someone to play with!
  • Thumbs Down:

  • The computer will clobber you.
  • More Wiimote controls would have been nice.
  • Game Rating: 5

    Available for: Wii.

Most people say that Links awakening was the best, and that is mostly true. My favorite gots to be ocarina of time though, I am more into 3d things then this 2d stuff. I do really like twilight and skyward sword but everyone seems to hate those. My second is legend of zelda wind waker. Mostly for the same reasons as ocarina of time. Hyrule warriors is really fun though, it's very short of a LoZ game. and I still have yet to play Majoras mask but that has to be a really good game at the most too.
