LaDainian Tomlinson Biography

Birthdate: June 23, 1979
Birthplace: Rosebud, Texas

This star running back has been giving opposing teams nightmares for years. We take a closer look at LT!

LaDainian Tomlinson - Texas Upbringing

LaDainian grew up in tiny Rosebud, Texas. It was his dad who inspired him to start playing football. As a youngster, LT would imitate his football heroes - Walter Peyton, Jim Brown and Emmitt Smith. LaDainian was a standout athlete at University High School in nearby Waco, TX, where he played football, basketball and baseball. As a senior he collected more than 2,554 yards and 39 touchdowns for the Trojans. LT signed with Texas Christian University, where he twice led the NCAA in rushing yards. He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy his senior season.

LaDainian Tomlinson - Something Special

After an incredible career at TCU, LT was drafted fifth overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2001 NFL Draft. His impact was immediate, as he quickly became one of the game's elite players. LaDainian has rushed for more than 1,200 yards and caught over 50 passes in each of his six seasons. This four-time Pro Bowl selection, has been rewriting the record books ever since he put on a Chargers uniform. He holds the all-time record for touchdowns in a single season with 31 in the 2006 season. That same year he led the Chargers to an AFC West Divisional Championship and was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player.

LaDainian Tomlinson - Future

LaDainian is probably the most talented player in the game right now. Not many running backs combine the speed, strength and agility that LT shows on the field. LaDainian is also one of the most exciting players. He has more moves on the field than Usher on the dance floor. Plus he is versatile - how many other running backs can throw touchdown passes? LT is the only player in NFL history to rush, catch and throw for a touchdown in the same game! But aside from setting records, LT is helping his team win. Don't be surprised if he leads the Chargers to the Super Bowl in the next few years!

Cheer-leading is a sport - most people think that it is not - but it is Yes it looks like they are just cheering on the football players - but their routines and being able to hold up girls over their head takes strength, and they work really hard to make everything look good.

I liked cheering for the underdog, so I've always cheered for the Cavs. I'd like to see how this year's line-up goes, though our past best point guard left for the Celtics.  :/

Mayo lost against Dublin again. 1-16 to 1-17. I support Mayo, and I am horrified to be honest. I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but I think Dublin fouled Mayo way more times than they were punished for it. Mayo rarely got any frees and the last free of the game was a minute before it ended and Dublin were taking it from very far away. Of course, they got it. Up until then, it was 1-16 to 1-16. I guess Mayo won't be taking home the cup again for another year.
