Alicia Keys - As I Am

While the other ladies of R&B are pinning their hopes of success on their "super sexy" personas (yeah, we're talking to you, Ciara), Alicia Keys is content to let her natural talent speak for her. As I Am is a romantic album, not a tawdry one. It manages to be both soulful, and totally current while being - amazingly - decidedly un-cheesy.

The Black and White Album is the second album from The Hives.

The Hives - The Black and White Album

The Hives take their garage-rock sound out of the garage on The Black and White Album. The band's new album is slicker, cooler, and more polished than any of their previous efforts, but they still retain their indie-rock authenticity. These guys just keep getting better and better.
