EAs new Madden football game is here for Xbox 360 and Wii! Get the 411 on the action with Garys Madden NFL 08 game review.

EA is dropping another sports video game into the arena - Madden NFL 08! The football action is available for Gamecube, DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360 and Wii. It's the newest game in the series and it's packed with new features, but is it the best football game on the planet? Gary geared up for some action to bring you his Madden NFL 08 game review for Xbox 360 and Wii!

Get Your Game On!

This game is all about football - and lots of it. You pick the teams, the players and the plays - then take the moves to the field and take the pigskin all the way home! You can also build an NFL franchise, move your fave team to any city and draft new players to freshen up your roster. Madden NFL 08 is also loaded with all the stats and info on real-world football players, from NFL legends to brand-new drafts. You can also get up to four player multiplayer games, at home or online!

Fun Features

Not only does Madden 08 have better graphics than previous years, it has extra features for each version! Wii gamers get 22 mini-games to test their skills, as well as a family play mode for noob gamers - like your parents. Xbox 360 players don't get those options, instead you get to turn your gaming skills into real bling cuz you can order a real NFL ring (made by the same folks who make the NFL Super Bowl rings) with all your achievements on it. There's also a Read and React system that gives you instant info on what each player can do - it's a great way to plan your plays!

Fumbles and Fouls

There aren't many blunders in this game, but there are a few. The biggest is that the online gaming is weak, but there a handful of weird game glitches that can mess up your fun as well. The crazy number of controls is rough on new players too! The Wii fixes that, but has seriously crummy graphics compared to the Xbox 360.

Touchdown?

It's an excellent football game with a few flaws. The "Read and React" info is awesome, the new features are a blast and the Wii version's Family Mode helps get past the mind-boggling number of controls. Madden NFL 08 kicks a whole lot of butt.

Thumbs Up:

  • Tons of control options.
  • The "Read and React" system helps you track your players.
  • Great graphics and animation!
  • Mini-games and family play mode on the Wii!
  • Your game skills let you bling out a real ring.
  • Thumbs Down:

  • So many controls! Your fingers will have a seizure...
  • Not many online modes.
  • The Wii graphics are a bit weak.
  • Game Rating: 4

Available for: Wii, PS3, Xbox 360.
