Courtesy of UniversalCiara - The Evolution
Since her debut album,
Goodies, Ciara went through a
high profile relationship with rapper
Bow Wow, became a household name and did a lot of
growing up. The Evolution features 15 new tracks and five interludes from the
princess of crunk, with appearances by some of
the biggest names in the game. The album has some catchy tunes but
Ciara should have done a better job at cutting out the mediocre songs on this disc cuz it
doesn't live up to what we heard on Goodies.
Ciara - The Evolution Fun Facts
Ciara wrote, or co-wrote, all the songs on The Evolution.
The song That's Right features Lil' Jon, Can't Leave 'Em Alone features 50 Cent and Get Up features Chamillionaire.
The song Get Up is featured on the Step Up soundtrack.
The enhanced edition of the CD features music videos, a dance lesson and a behind-the-scenes look at Ciara hard at work!
Ciara recorded a track called Do It with Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am but it didn't make the cut for The Evolution.

Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape
The yummiest mommy around,
Gwen Stefani, is back with a new disc of
dance-worthy tunes! In true Gwen Stefani style, she has
re-invented her image and sound once again for
The Sweet Escape. If you're looking for a
cookie-cutter copy of her last album,
Love.Angel.Music.Baby then you should pass this one by. But anyone who has come to love Gwen's fresh,
original beats will
fall in love this album the first time they take a spin through the tracks.
Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape Fun Facts
Gwen Stefani teamed up with former No Doubt band member Tony Kanal to write three of the songs on The Sweet Escape.
Pharrell Williams and The Neptunes lent a hand again to help produce The Sweet Escape. Pharrell also co-wrote a few songs on the disc.
Wonderful Life was actually written for Love.Angel.Music.Baby but it got left on the cutting room floor and was brought back for The Sweet Escape.
Gwen Stefani will head out on a North American tour for The Sweet Escape starting in April 2007. Don't worry about little Kingston - he'll be going along with her!
