Magic: Duel Decks - Elf Deck Review
These Legolas wannabes are ready to raise an army and crush the goblin horde! They aren't too powerful or fast, but once you get enough of them out they're unstoppable. It takes a bit of planning to use this deck well, but the strategy tips included with it give you all the info you need to kick butt!
Elf Deck Thumbs Up:
- It can gain life.
- The elves combine into an unstoppable army.
- Awesome looking card art.

- The goblins will whup you for the first few turns.
- No way to destroy enchantments or artifacts.

Playing against this deck is like wrestling with a hyperactive porcupine! It's fast and everything it does hurts. From goblin suicide bombers to fireballs, this deck is all about heaping destruction onto your opponent and their creatures. Don't let the elves catch their breath though, if they get organized you're in deep trouble!

- A goblin deck is a great excuse to pick your nose while you play.

Want to jump into a battle with a friend without having to strain your brain building a deck? Or, want to introduce a new player to the game with some classic goblin vs. elf combat? Magic: The Gathering Duel Decks: Goblins vs. Elves is a great start! The decks aren't very powerful, but they're full of basic cards, simple strategies and a dose of fun. They're also really easy to power-up with a couple boosters from the awesome Lorwyn set.
