I've run into this problem. Like someone else mention, people don't talk in long blocks of texts. Try to imagine two (or how ever many people) having a conversation. Honestly, if you read it aloud and it sounds awkward, then it probably is.  Ex. 1 "Hey. How are you doing today Crystal? Did you study for the math test? I'm sure I failed. I really hate math. My parents will freak." "I think I failed too. I told my parents I'll study harder next time, but I don't know if studying more will help." Ex. 2 "Hey Crystal," I say. Crystal turns around. She walks beside me down the hallway. "Hey, what's up?" "That test was insane. Did you study? I'm sure I failed." Crystal nods her head. "Yeah, I think I failed too." "I really hate math," I tell her. "My parents are going to kill me." "I told my parents I'll study harder next time, but I don't know if it will make a difference." There's nothing necessarily wrong with the first example, but the second sounds more natural. To break up the dialogue, you can also add characters' mannerisms (how are they moving, if they are) and expressions (frowning, laughing, smirking) while they're talking. It gives the audience a better indicator to their tone and how they feel about what's being said. Hope that helps some!
