So Christmas vacation is over and you’re back to school. You’re probably thinking it’s time to hit the books again, right? Wrong! With all the great games in 2008, how could you possibly find time to hit the books? Ok so maybe you have to study a little, but that doesn’t mean you can’t check out Gary’s Top 10 games for the Nintendo Wii to see what games you should be spending all your free time on.

10. Active Life Outdoor Challenge

This game brings the outdoors indoors so you can get your butt off the couch and move your couch potato body. Using a new game pad, and the Wiimotes there are tons of games to keep you moving and having fun. From kayaking to mountain climbing, mole-stomping and more the game is packed full of mini-games. You can challenge yourself, your friends, or team up and have fun without worrying about running into any bears.

9. LEGO Batman

A midnight breakout from Gotham City’s famous Arkham Asylum floods the city with crazy villains and Batman needs your help to catch them all! You are in control of the famous caped crusader and his sidekick Robin, solving puzzles, unlocking items and kicking villain butt! Watch out Gotham City, cause Batman is back!

8. BOOM BLOX

Cowboy monkeys, frantic hand-waving and a whole lot of exploding – that’s BOOM BLOX for you! It’s a wacky, weird, colorful game that’s packed with explosions and chances to whack your friends with the Wiimote. With simple controls, multiplayer modes and comical characters, you’ll never want to stop playing!

7. Animal Crossing: City Folk

There’s tons of things to do when life is an endless vacation. What would you do first? Go to the mall, go fishing, watch fireworks with friends? Maybe you’d go trick-or-treating or hunt for eggs. This game let’s you do all of that and much more! The aim of the game is to befriend the animals in your town, but with tons of other stuff to do, you’ll never get bored. Customize your town, house, even yourself with different hairstyles or a Mii makeover!


6. Wii Fit

Nintendo turned the “get your butt in gear” mode up to 11 with this game! Using the new Balance Board to track your movements, analyze your body and guide you through excersises, the game gives you a great workout while giving you great tips on keeping in shape and staying fit. From yoga to strength training and balance games to fitness games, Nintendo’s Wii Fit will whip you into shape while having fun.

    The first game came out in 1991  ;) Anyway, I love Sonic! I stink at the games though lol My favorite characters are Knuckles and Charmy And I agree that this is the best single-player game ever!

    At least you aren't restricted to TTC/or be only able to try the 3-day trial.  We're actually very lucky now; nonmembers don't give Disney a lick of money. I think Toontown is very different from Club Penguin.  It has a full plot and it's 3-Dimensional.  Also, you don't really do all that much in Club Penguin other than chat and do some mini-missions.  Also, the games were targeted to a different audience... and I feel that Toontown has more memories than Club Penguin; though that may be a bit biased as I don't really have any friends on Club Penguin (LOL), don't really play anymore anyway.
