It’s the girls’ second week in the competition and you know what that means...makeovers! Tyra surprise them with a visit to their Venice Beach home to deliver their portfolios and the news. After she left, three of the potential top models created a fake list of hairdos and showed the other girls, pretending that Tyra had dropped it on her way out.

Makeovers

The next day, many of the girls were freaked out when they arrived at the salon. But as the makeovers began, it quickly became clear that the list was a hoax. After the makeovers, they each did a photo shoot to show they could embrace their new hairstyle. Unfortunately, Terra couldn’t figure out how to work her drastic new do, and Jay sent her packing.

Fallen Angels

After Chris recovered from the shock of seeing her sister leave, the girls headed to their photo shoot. Photographer Anne Menke shot the girls on the beach. They posed as fallen angels, alongside male models. They each had to embody a word of their choice (fearless, seductive, rebellious, etc) while hanging from an uncomfortable harness. The task wasn’t easy. And for most girls, their struggles showed in their photos.

Elimination

At panel, Tyra and the judges weren’t impressed. As a whole, the group posed poorly. Only four girls pulled off a photograph worth presenting in their portfolios: Ann, Kayla, Chelsey and Chris. After the photos were handed out, only two girls remained: Lexie and Sara. But even with Sara’s new dark locks, she couldn’t embrace her modeling potential, and Tyra sent her home.
