Xbox Gamestock Games

Dec 27, 2006

Microsoft's big, black Xbox is one mean piece of hardware. But what about the games? Nobody knows much about what kind of games the box is gonna have when it hits the streets.

If the lineup's a dud, the Xbox could be in trouble. Microsoft wants to blow away the competition and show that
it's ready to compete with the Playstation 2
and the Gamecube. So at its yearly Gamestock show Microsoft brought a few surprises for the crowd. Here are a couple of hot titles to check out:

Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding

Mix it up with the tunes of your choice while enjoying total boarding freedom. It's all about fresh powder, no tracks, no courses, no rules. It's just you, the mountain and snowboarding superstardom.

Halo

This game has more internet buzz than a
swarm of locusts. It's all about squad tactics vs. alien troopers and it's got the best graphics this side of real life.

NFL Fever 2002

Ruling the gridiron with your team of warriors has never looked so good. Custom designed for the Xbox it's packed with 31 teams, a 25 year-long dynasty mode and a heaping helping of NFL action. It's time to live the game.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee

The latest in the Oddworld series has Abe and Munch up to their eyeballs in the crazy place called Oddworld. Solve puzzles, dodge traps and rescue slaves with the dangerous duo.

With one big show, the Xbox game lineup just went from a complete mystery to solid gold. The box is locked, stocked and ready to rock. Are you ready for it?
