Kristen Bell - Small Town Start

Kristen Bell grew up in Huntington Woods, a suburb of Detroit. It was here that she got her first taste of acting, starring in school plays like The Wizard of Oz, Lady Be Good and Li'l Abner. Kristen then took her talents to the big screen when she landed a part in the flick, Polish Wedding, which was being filmed in Michigan.

Kristen Bell - Musical Maven

After high school, Kristen headed off to study musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. During her time in New York, she scored the role of Becky Thatcher in the Broadway musical, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Although the play didn't last long, she soon found herself in yet another Broadway show - The Cruible.

Kristen Bell - Teenage Private Eye

So, how did Kristen Bell make it from Broadway to the mean streets of LA? After a few bit parts in some Hollywood movies, Kristen auditioned for the lead role in the UPN prime-time drama, Veronica Mars.
