Evan Rachel Wood - Theater BeginningsEvan Rachel Wood was born into a theater family. Her dad, Ira David Wood III, ran Theater in the Park in Evan's hometown of Raleigh, NC. Since her dad played such a major role in the acting community, Evan soon found herself on stage in plays like The Miracle Worker, A Midsummer's Night Dream and A Christmas Carol. When Evan was nine however, her parents divorced and she moved to LA with her mom - leaving her dad and her theater career behind.

She was quickly landing roles in major productions like Practical Magic, with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. This led to a regular role on the TV show, Profiler. On the show, Jessie was dealing with her parents' divorce, and the trials and tribulations of growing up, which led to some pretty intense scenarios. At one point, Jessie starts to have feelings for her friend Katie (who was played by Mischa Barton), and the two share a kiss. The episode caused a lot of controversy and wasn't allowed to be aired in two states.
