Star Wars Miniatures: Starship Battles Game Review

Command Star Wars starships, from Jedi Starfighters to massive Star Destroyers, in this new game! We review it here.

The Star Wars movies are packed with giant space battles between massive space ships and tiny starfighters piloted by heroic Jedi. The Star Wars Miniatures: Starship Battles game brings those battles to life with 60 collectible ships - from TIE Fighters to General Grievous' ship Invisible Hand and Darth Vader's flagship, the five mile-long Super Star Destroyer Executor! The Starter Set gives you the rules, a map and two fleets to battle with. Booster Packs let you collect more ships, including rare ones like Boba Fett's Slave I. The battlefield is just empty space and, since ships can attack from any range, most of the battle is spent sitting around and shooting across the map, which is a bit of a bummer. But, it's easy to play and all the ships look awesome! Star Wars fans, or anybody who wants to try out a solid space-battle game, should totally check it out.

Starship Battles Thumbs Up:

  • The Star Wars spaceships look great.
  • Command fleets of ships from the movies!
  • Easy and fast to play.

Starship Battles Thumbs Down:

  • Boring battlefield! It needs asteroids or something.
