Big Name Games

Dec 27, 2006

Good video games based on movies, even on good movies, are harder to find than pickle flavored ice-cream. Bad video games based on movies are a dime a dozen, just like bad movies based on video games. Why do games based on movies blow?

There are some big companies ripping us off. Lucasarts has made so many bad Star Wars games that it oughta be arrested. Disney's Buzz Lightyear was great in Toy Story 2, but not in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Even Lara Croft has problems. Her Tomb Raider games went straight downhill after the second one and now she's gonna be in a movie. Who knows how that'll turn out.

Every time a movie or a game makes it big everybody suddenly wants a piece of the action. They crank out lame games, bad movies and cheap toys. Just because they slap a movie title onto a video game they charge a mint for it and it's almost always a heap-o-junk. That sucks and it's no fun for us. Wanna learn how to stop 'em? Read on...

It's simple. Use your head. They'll do everything they can do to make it look awesome - big ads, famous stars, everything. The trick is to ignore the buzz and find the truth. Read reviews, find out who has one and see what they think of it. You could even rent it before you buy it. A few minutes of investigation could save you months of allowance.

Not sure about a new game? Bought a game that sucked? .
