High School Musical 3 :: Senior Year Soundtrack CD Review

It’s finally here—the HSM3 soundtrack. Now you have something to listen to while you wait in line for the movie to start!
HSM3 :: Senior Year
It’s
graduation time, but first there are some
songs left to be sung for Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Taylor and Chad. This time it’s all about saying goodbye and
cherishing friendships before heading off to
college, but it wouldn’t be an HSM soundtrack without
Sharpay scheming, Troy and Gabriella
proclaiming their love for one another and one or two songs about
basketball. Those songs are all there (
I Want It All, Can I Have This
Dance, Now or Never), of course. But there are also songs about the
journey ending, and even ones that poke fun of the HSM Empire itself--at one point, Sharpay sings,”
Sequels pay better.” There’s still lots of fun to be had before the
final bell rings, so don’t miss your chance to say goodbye in style!

Fun Facts
HSM 3 is the first of the High School Musical movies to be released in theatres.
In the first HSM, Zac Efron’s parts were sung by Andrew Seely. For the second and third films, however, he sang all his own songs.
Of the six main cast members of HSM, half have recorded their own albums—Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu have all released solo records.
The song Scream, which is sung by Zac Efron, is rumored to be included on Zac’s forthcoming album.
Zac is set to reprise the role Kevin Bacon made famous in Footloose. That will make five musicals he’s starred in the last four years (including the three HSMs and Hairspray).
