A Growing Family

While Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah) prepare for the birth of their new baby, Sid can’t help but feel a little jealous. He loves kids, but without a wife, how can he start a family? Then he finds three unattended eggs, which he scoops up, planning raise the little critters as his own. But when the eggs hatch, he discovers that his new children are dinosaurs! And the mother T-Rex is not too pleased to find her dinobabies missing. When she comes to retrieve them, she steals Sid in the process.

The Rescue Mission

Manny, Ellie, Diego, Eddie and Crash set out on a journey to save Sid from the fearsome dinosaur. They follow the tracks leading underground and discover a world they didn’t know existed—a dangerous world filled with hungry, massive dinosaurs. There they meet Buck the Weasel, a brave and lonely dinosaur hunter, who agrees to lead the pack on their rescue mission.

The Great White Rudy

Meanwhile, Sid develops a bond with the mommy dino and her babies, while they all try to defend themselves againstthe biggest monster of all—a white dinosaur known as Rudy.

The Bottom Line

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was no better or worse than the first two Ice Age films. It had a few laugh-out-loud moments, most thanks to the newest character, Buck. While he’s a determined and courageous little weasel, his loneliness has turned him a bit insane. The film is good and action-packed. But if you thought the first two were just okay, then this one won’t be any more impressive.
