Nickelodeon: 2002 Kids' Choice Awards

On Saturday, April 20th, Nickelodeon aired the 2002 Kids' Choice Awards hosted by Rosie O'Donnell. The show was jam-packed with music, celebs, lots of burping and of course SLIME! Pink Got the Party Started and opened the show with a party hoppin' performance and high-fived a ton of lucky peeps. At the end of her song she was slimed with oogy pink colored slime. Usher performed his latest hit U Don't Have to Call and included plenty of hip-swiveling, fancy footwork and spinning his jeweled "U" chain around his neck.

Some of the celebs who came out to support the Kids' Choice Awards included Sarah Michelle Gellar and her hottie boyfriend, Freddie Prinze Jr., who both star in the upcoming flick Scooby-Doo. Dark Angel's Jessica Alba was there and so were The Rock from The Scorpion King, Bow Wow, Lil' Romeo, Tony Hawk, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey (decked out as The Turtle Man,) Nick Cannon, Will Smith, Kirsten Dunst (from the upcoming Spider-Man flick) and Matt Damon. A few times during the show, the slime labs at Nick became too full so emergency sirens sounded, lights flashed and sections of the crowd were slimed.

Rosie O'Donnell also got the stars involved in a Celebrity Burp-Off. Would you believe that little Jessica Alba was one of the winners? Rosie also got some pretty nasty burps from girls in the crowd too - yikes! In other "sports", BMX pro-biker Dave Mirro performed a mega backflip into a huge tub of green slime. Yuck.

Janet Jackson was voted the best role model kids most want to be like. Janet snagged the Wannabe Award for her contribution to music and for supporting children's rights. Way to go Janet!
