Based on the extremely
popular Japanese
trading cards,
Yu-Gi-Oh! tells the story of a young kid named
Yugi. Sporting
spiky hair and a
thirst for adventure,
Yugi must battle the forces of evil after unlocking the secrets of a mysterious game involving
Duel Monsters. Look for a
Yu-Gi-Oh! movie to hit a
theater near you this summer.
#4 - Rugrats
Rugrats remains the most popular show in the
history of
Nickelodeon, and with good reason. Following the adventures of a
quirky group of kids, the series has spawned
three spin-off movies! If you've never seen an
episode, there are plenty of
DVDs available of both the show and the movies (and, of course, you could always just
catch reruns on
Saturday mornings).
#3 - Powerpuff Girls
These girls are so popular, they recently had a whole
movie to themselves! The show's three heroes -
Blossom,
Buttercup, and
Bubbles - spend their days kicking
bad guy butt after
Professor Utonium accidentally gives them
super powers. Did you know that
Tom Kenny (the voice of
SpongeBob SquarePants) provides the narrator's voice for the Powerpuff Girls show?
#2 - SpongeBob SquarePants
Yep,
SpongeBob SquarePants is hitting the
big screen this fall, and the show remains one of the best on the air. Following the adventures of
SpongeBob and his friend
Patrick, the series is so wacky and fun that even adults like it. The
complete first season is out now on
DVD, with the second soon to follow!
#1 - The Simpsons
It's hard to believe it, but
The Simpsons has been on the air for almost
15 years now! Everyone's favorite family -
Homer,
Marge, Bart,
Lisa, and Maggie - is guaranteed to be on the air until
2005 and there's even a
big screen adventure in the works!
