Disguised as a beauty queen in Miss Congeniality, Gracie Hart eliminated a threat against the Miss United States Pageant and won 1st runner-up in the process. In the sequel, Gracie is back to her tomboy style, doing undercover assignments which are difficult now that she's famous. After noticing the outpouring of letters from Gracie's new fans, police chief McDonald asks her to consider to working as a public representative of the FBI. At first she is hesitant, but after her boyfriend breaks her heart, she decides to do something positive for herself and to be a role model for young women. Her new title?
