Some big gaming news rolled in this weekend, especially if you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! card game fan! We have the 411 on that, plus previews of two new games based on the Bleach anime and preview pics of the upcoming Spider-Man: Friend or Foe game from Activision! Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl - Mysterious Treasures Tournaments

The upcoming Pokemon card game expansion - Diamond & Pearl: Mysterious Treasures is coming on August 22, 2007, but you can get a taste of the new cards early with the preview tournaments! These tournaments will be held on the weekends of Aug. 11-12, 2007, Aug. 18-19, 2007 and Aug. 25-26, 2007. Each tournament has an entry fee that hooks you up with six 10-card booster packs of the new cards that you use to build a deck. You then compete in one of three divisions:

Junior Division - Born in 1996 or later.

Senior Division - Born in 1992-1995.

Masters Division - Born in 1991 or earlier.

Not only do you get to catch the newest Pokemon before anybody else, you also get a special pre-release promo card and promo item!

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships 2007

Over the weekend the San Diego Comic-Con got busy as the best Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists in the world got busy battling to see who was the world's best. The Yu-Gi-Oh! masters battled with cards and with the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2007 video game for Nintendo DS. Finally, two champions emerged.

2007 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game World Champion: Andres Toro, 24 from Chile.

2007 Yu-Gi-Oh! Video Game World Champion: Michel Gruner, 19 from Germany.

These two champions got trophies, Yu-Gi-Oh! artwork autographed by Kazuki Takahashi and Chaimera, Master of Beasts TCG cards.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe Game Preview

Activision's got another Spider-Man video game on the way! This fall, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe challenges you to become Spidey, or one of his allies, and tackle evil villains on DS, PC, PSP, PS2, Xbox 360 and Wii. Once you've beaten a villain, they'll join your team and you can both go clobber a bigger evil menace.
