TV theme songs from Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, The Hills and 90210!

Ever wonder who sings the opening song to your fave TV show? Sometimes it's someone famous, and sometimes it's not anyone you've heard of at all! Check out some of the newest, most popular TV theme songs and who sings them.

1 Hannah Montana

It’s not so hard finding a theme song for your TV show when your show is about a pop star—in fact, you’ll probably end up singing it! That’s the case with Miley Cyrus, who sings her Disney Channel show’s theme, Best of Both Worlds, as the character Hannah Montana. Whew! The song is about leading a double life (of course). Best of Both Worlds was also the name of Hannah/Miley’s 2008 tour.

1The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Down the street from Hannah in the Disney neighborhood live Zack and Cody, whose theme song isn’t sung by them (thankfully!). Instead, Here I Am is by Loren Ellis and the Drew Davis Band, who are actually a country music group from Los Angeles. Weird! They sure don’t sound very country-ish on this song! Still, it’s a pretty catchy little tune about life in a hotel, so maybe the band should think about switching to pop?

1Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds

Even cooler than a theme song that the show’s star sings is a theme song that you, the audience, get to pick! That’s what happened with 4Kids TV’s newest Yu-Gi-Oh! show, 5Ds. Kids like you (maybe you even voted!) were asked to choose your favourite song from seven different choices. In the end, users chose Hyper Drive—a good choice for 5Ds’ speedy new duels!

1The Hills

It used to be way more common for a TV show to use a pop song that was already released as their theme song, but it doesn’t happen as much anymore. That’s not true for MTV’s The Hills, where each week viewers get settled in for the reality TV lifestyle of Lauren Conrad and her friends to the tune of Unwritten, a chart-topping song by Natasha Bedingfield.

190210

When the CW decided to do a modern update of Beverly Hills, 90210, they changed just about everything about the show. Everything, that is, except for a few cast members and that super catchy theme song. The 90210 theme doesn’t really have a name, and it doesn’t have lyrics, but if you ask your parents, they can probably hum it for you!
