90210 TV Show Facts

The zip code to beat all zip codes returns in the new version of the series that changed teen TV forever. It’s back to school and back to Beverly Hills in the new 90210! Kidzworld takes a sneak peek.

Main Characters

  • Annie Wilson – Annie and her family have recently moved to Beverly Hills from Kansas. She’s a sweet, friendly Mid-Western kind of girl who loves the theatre, and who is unprepared for the culture shock of moving to a place full of preps and rich kids!
  • Dixon Wilson – Annie’s adopted little bro Dixon also has to adjust to life at West Beverly Hills High, which shouldn’t be too tough for a star athlete and scholar like him… right?
  • Debbie and Harry Wilson – Annie and Dixon’s parents, who move the family to Beverly Hills to take care of Harry’s mother, an aging, alcoholic actress. Harry is also the principal of WBHH.
  • Naomi – The Queen of West Beverly Hills High, mostly because she just happens to be the hottest, richest, most spoiled girl around. Will sparks fly when little old Annie meets the Queen of the zip code? Only time will tell.
  • Ethan – If Naomi is the Queen, then Ethan is the King. Ethan’s a ladies’ man, the current top jock and would win any popularity contest.
  • Silver – The half-sister of Kelly and David from the original series, Silver is a “wannabe socialite” who quickly becomes Annie’s best friend. She also stars in her own YouTube series, called The Vicious Circle.
  • Navid – An aspiring reporter who gets the gossip on his classmates, Navid is a Scientologist and is struggling with his sexuality.
  • Ryan – The hip, unorthodox English Lit teacher that students love and the other teachers stress about.
  • Kelly – Yep, the Kelly Taylor from the original 90210 series. She’s now the guidance counselor at WBHH, and has a thing for the oddball English teacher…

Fun Facts

  • Other characters from the original series, including Brandon (Jason Priestley), Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Donna (Tory Spelling) are expected to reprise their roles in future episodes.
  • Early on, there was a rumor that the part of Annie was going to be played by Hillary Duff. Hillary later said this was “not true.”
  • The high school that was used as West Beverly Hills High in the original series, Torrance High School, in Torrance, California, is also where the new 90210 is being shot. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was also filmed there.
  • Shenae Grimes (Annie Wilson) has starred in another revived teen TV show in her native Canada--the super popular series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Quotes

“I pinch myself every day. Every time I hear ‘Beverly Hills 90210.’” – Shenae Grimes (Annie Wilson), on being part of a legendary TV show.

“C’mon, you can see Britney’s house from here!” – Annie to Dixon, when they first move to Beverly Hills.

“What’d I tell you…lame!” – Silver to Annie, on the scene at the Peach Pit After Dark.

“I think it was racially motivated.” – Tabitha Wilson, Annie and Dixon’s grandmother, about an incident in which Dixon was wrongly accused

Here are my top 9 worst TV shows I have ever watched. 1. Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig (tie) 2. Marvin Marvin 3.  Pickle and Peanut 4 Fred Figglehorn  5. Annoying Orange 6. Austin and Ally 7. Dog on a Blog 8. The Day My Butt Went Psycho (I'm not Canadian but it doesn't look like a good show) 9. Lab Rats  Basically every show that has a laugh track.  If you are looking for a good show, watch Doctor Who. No laugh tracks, humor is used properly, good storyline, DOESN'T take place in a school ALL OF THE TIME (well, it does in some episodes such as school reunion) The cast isn't full of teenagers and parents won't get so annoyed of the show. It's about a 900 year old time lord (who looks like a human) that travels in a TARDIS. He has 13 regenerations and almost always has a female companion with him. He is the last of his species so he's always lonely on Earth.

Plus he said MOST on cartoon Network. Not every show. I have to agree. There is better TV out there... Such as.... *takes deep breath* Doctor Who (Better than ALL of the trash they show on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and most cartoon network shows combined) Old spongebob (not the new spongebob episodes) Sherlock (hmmm I have never watched the show but i have heard it's awesome) I worship the BBC for making good things happen to the world.
