Gary hit Gen Con Indy 2004 in Indianapolis, Indiana to check out what Upper Deck, Wizards of the Coast, Wizkids and other companies were up to. Here are the new games that everyone will soon be playing.

Meddling Kids Role-Playing Game from Pandahead

Coming out of nowhere, this role-playing game (RPG) from Pandahead is awesome. It's a basic RPG for players of all ages that is like playing in the Scooby-Doo movies. There are monster chases, puzzles to solve, monkey pirates (yar-har!) and more. Stay tuned for more info as Gary checks this one out!

ChessHeads The Chessboard TCG from WizerGames

Got strategy? ChessHeads takes the game of chess and adds exploding pieces, weird chess monsters, multi-dimensional vortexes, special moves, collectible cards and more; all without ruining the strategy. It's easy enough to play - a 13 year-old player named Jeremy whupped his opponents all the way to second place in the pre-release tournament. Think yur game? Check your game store for a copy to add some excitement to your chess game!

Pirates of the Spanish Main from WizKids

Sail the seven seas, grab treasure and do your best to act like a pirate. Hey, it worked for Captain Jack Sparrow and Orlando Bloom - now you can try it out. All you need is an el-cheapo booster pack of this constructible strategy game to get playing. You build your own pirate ship with the snap-together pieces in the booster pack then, play against a friend to capture booty!

Star Wars Minis Miniature Strategy Game from Wizards

The Force is strong with this one as the peeps from Wizards of the Coast (who made the Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures game) take on the Star Wars gang. Darth Vader, Chewbacca, the Emperor, Stormtroopers, Jedi Knights and more are under your control as you battle against your opponent. We'll have more info on this game soon!

Shaman King Trading Card Game from Upper Deck

The once-a-century duel is here and the shamans are battling for the title of Shaman King. With this trading card game from Upper Deck, the Yu-Gi-Oh! and Vs. System peeps, you can play as one of the shamans from the animated TV show and battle to be the champ. This card game is like no other card game, but you'll have to check back later for all the info.

Star Sisterz Collectible Charm Game

Sick of monsters and battles? Check this game out to win in style! Play truth or dare cards, pass challenges and act up to score charms for your bracelet and win. Wizards of the Coast, the Magic the Gathering game freaks, released this game and we'll have more info on it soon.
